Bio
I am the Joint Lead Nurse for the Nottingham Diocese Lourdes Pilgrimage, a role I have been doing since 2017, I also travel with my local HCPT group, however my involvement with Lourdes goes back to 2008 when I first visited with my family, and have been many times since personally, with my parish group and with the diocesan pilgrimage.
My professional background is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, although much of my career has been spent in managerial positions and working in workforce development and policy positions.
In 2016 I was ordained a Deacon, and the following year I was appointed as the Senior Chaplain and Bereavement Service Manager for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust which remains my role today, although following the pandemic I am also heavily involved with the Covid and Flu vaccination programmes.
Ever since my first visit to Lourdes I have felt committed to return myself and to draw more people to experience the amazing spiritual environment which is unique to this amazing place. At the same time I am inspired by the story of St Bernadette who despite official opposition overcame all those who sought to undermine her experiences and ensured that the will of 'The Lady", Our Lady of Lourdes has continued to be undertake to the present day.
