Mrs Sue Brown

Treasurer and Membership Secretary

Grew up in Sutton Coldfield and trained at Queen Elizabeth School of Nursing qualifying in General Nursing in 1978. Over the last 40 yrs have gained experience in a wide range of nursing but for the last 20 years I have been working as a practice nurse in GP surgery.

I first went to Lourdes in the early 1980's as a nurse on a small parish pilgrimage travelling on one of the Jumbulance buses.

I moved to Derbyshire in 1994 returning to Lourdes with Nottingham Diocese in 2003. Since then I was fortunate to return annually initially travelling with the Youth of the pilgrimage and as Lead Nurse from 2012 until 2016. I have also had the privilege of travelling with the ACROSS groups - accompanying my ill Mum in the October 2010 just before she died a week after our return.

I am married to Geoff and we have 3 wonderful children and 2 exhausting grandsons!

For many reasons Lourdes holds a special part of my heart and is somewhere I hope I can continue to visit.
