Bio
Emilio Garcia, has been a familiar presence as a Doctor at Lourdes since 1995. Prior to his involvement there, he regularly visited El Lugar de Covadonga, where the Virgin Mary appeared and guided King Pelayo in 718 during his fight against the Arabic invasion.
In 2018, Emilio assumed the role of Medical Director for the Middlesbrough Pilgrimage. Over the years, Lourdes has evolved into a sanctuary of peace for him, and it's also the place where he discovered love.
As a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine, Emilio is adept at bringing teams together and navigating through challenging and unexpected situations, including complex medical transfers.
Residing in the North East of England, Emilio shares his life with his wife Heather and their four children, Darren, Kerry, Ben, and Bex. They also have the joy of a grandson named Aiden and eagerly anticipate the family count increasing in the near future.
