Dr Sara Baxter RIP

Monday 17th October 2022

We are very sad to report the death of Sara on 30th June 2022, she was a the child of a medical family from Kent, and an all-rounder with varied interests.. She was a consultant anaesthetist by training, in part doing her training in the Southeast and later becoming a consultant in Middlesborough.

She had a great devotion to pilgrimage as well as outreach to under-represented groups. She travelled first with the Arundel and Brighton Pilgrimage whilst still a trainee, later becoming chief doctor of the Middlesborough pilgrimage. In addtion, she was a chair of the LMA as it then was. She also became an oblate at Ampleforth and was a volunteer with the Apostolate of the Sea.

In addition to this she was a very pleasant colleague to work with on the BLMA with an ironic sense of humour, and also a great cat lover! She will be missed.
