Mrs Kim O'Connor

Bio

I first visited Lourdes in 2004 with the Leeds diocesan pilgrimage and was Lead Nurse from 2011 to 2019. From 2010 I joined the Hexham & Newcastle diocese and began travelling twice a year to Lourdes, then in 2013 I joined the BASMOM (British Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta) pilgrimage for whom I am now Head Nurse. I have travelled on the Jumbulance with the Hexham and Newcastle for the several years. Accompanying three groups I am fortunate in that I see many different ways of running, organising, caring and managing the provision of nursing and medical care in Lourdes, having experience of sick pilgrims being cared for in both Accueil Notre Dame and St Frai, and also in a hotel.

I have three grown up daughters and one son as well as one small dog and a wonderful husband who tolerates my many trips to France! I am now a proud grandmother to Alice, Flynn and Lily! I am also a brown belt in karate.
