INVITATION TO BRITISH LOURDES MEDICAL ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE 2023

All Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals welcome.
Liverpool - Easy access via road, rail or air. City central location. 10 minute walk or short taxi ride from Liverpool Lime Street railway station. There is parking next door at £14 per day.
Conference
The conference will be face to face and in person. However, if due to extenuating circumstances anyone is not able to attend in person and would like to attend some of all of the sessions please email the BLMA chair chair@LourdesDoctors.org and we can consider how we might be able to facilitate joining by zoom.
As with previous conferences, we hope to start our weekend with Vespers at 7pm (venue to be confirmed) and we are likely to share a meal and some fellowship at a local Italian restaurant, The Florist, at 7,30pm . If you would like to join us for dinner on Friday evening, at 7.30pm, please let us know when you apply and we will email you the menu.
The conference commences at 10.00am on Saturday preceded by the AGM for members at 09.00am and finishes at 4.45pm.
Saturday Vigil Mass at 5.00pm will be celebrated in Liverpool Cathedral.
The Conference Dinner, at The Novotel is from 7.30pm at a cost of £35 per person. There will be a cash bar.
Sunday morning workshops will be held in the hotel from 9.30am, preceded by Morning Prayers at 09.15am. The conference will close at 12.30pm
Accommodation:
A number of rooms have been reserved at a reduced rate until the 5th of October at The Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village of £119 single / £134 double occupancy per room per night, including breakfast. Car Parking charge is £14/night.
Please book early and quote BLMA2023 when booking before the 5th of October.
Alternatively there are a number of other hotels within easy walking distance of the hotel.
Meals:
Friday evening - meal not included.
Saturday lunch - Two course conference lunch provided in The Novotel included in Conference cost.
Saturday evening - Conference Dinner 7.30pm. The Novotel. Cost £35pp, please bring some money and your NHS id card to purchase drinks - NHS workers have a 20% discount at the bar !
Coffee/Tea provided during the day.

Delegates will be expected to book their own accommodation with the Novotel or elsewhere if they would prefer.
Payment for the Conference includes 12 months membership of the BLMA.
*As per the AGM in 2021, Annual Memberships now run from November to November, and all standing orders/direct debits outside of November should have been stopped in accordance with this. Those who have a November standing order/direct debit should take £25 off the cost above. Standing orders/direct debits received not in November will be viewed as charitable donations to BLMA.
