INVITATION TO BRITISH LOURDES MEDICAL ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE 2022

All Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals welcome.*

Shrewsbury - Easy access via road, rail or air. City central location. 10 minute walk or short taxi ride from railway station. There is some parking at the Prince Rupert Hotel (£10/night) as well as an NCP car park 5 minutes walk from The Prince Rupert.

Conference
We are hoping that people will be able to attend in person, however, should there be anyone who would really find this difficult and would like to join us, it will be possible to attend virtually, however, will incur the same cost.

As with previous conferences, we hope to start our weekend with Vespers at 7pm and we are likely to share a meal and some fellowship at a local Italian restaurant, La Piazzetta. If you would like to join us for dinner on Friday evening, at 8pm, please let us know when you apply and we will email you the menu.

The conference commences at 10.10am on Saturday preceded by the AGM for members at 09.00am and finishes at 4.45pm.

Saturday Vigil Mass at 5.30pm will be celebrated in Shrewsbury Cathedral the celebrant will be confirmed

The Conference Dinner, at The Prince Rupert is from 7.30pm. There will be a cash bar.

Sunday morning workshops will be held in the hotel from 10.00am, preceded by Morning Prayers at 09.45am.

The conference closes at 12.30pm

Accommodation:
A number of rooms have been reserved at The Prince Rupert, Shrewsbury. Conference rate is £85 single/£150 double occupancy per room per night, including breakfast. Car Parking charge is £10/night. Please quote BLMA conference delegate when booking.

Alternatively there are a number of other hotels within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Meals:
Friday evening - meal not included.
Saturday lunch - Two course conference lunch provided in The Prince Rupert included in Conference cost.
Saturday evening - Conference Dinner 7.30pm. The Prince Rupert. Cost £30pp, please bring some money to purchase drinks.

Coffee/Tea provided during the day.

Sunday morning - Coffee/Tea included

Conference Dinner £30 in addition to the above please

Delegates will be expected to book their own accommodation with the Prince Rupert or elsewhere if they would prefer.

Payment for the Conference includes 12 months membership of the BLMA.
*As per the AGM in 2021, Annual Memberships now run from November to November, and all standing orders/direct debits outside of November should have been stopped in accordance with this. Those who have a November standing order/direct debit should take £25 off the cost above. Standing orders/direct debits received not in November will be viewed as charitable donations to BLMA.
